Last Updated: March 18, 2026.
Platform: sharpproof.com ("Sharproof", "we", "us", "our").
Operated by: Sharproof (formerly operating as Slipstakes).
This Privacy Policy explains how Sharproof collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use our Platform. By using Sharproof, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. This Policy supersedes and replaces all prior privacy notices published under the Slipstakes name.
Sharproof operates as the data controller for personal data collected through sharpproof.com. For privacy-related enquiries, contact us at privacy@sharpproof.com.
2.1 Information you provide directly: account registration data such as email address, username, and date-of-birth confirmation; profile information such as display name, avatar, and optional bio; user-generated content such as messages, posts, tips, and analysis; communications sent to us through support channels; and access code redemption data.
2.2 Information collected automatically: usage data, pages visited, features used, session duration, click patterns, device information, browser type, operating system, device type, screen resolution, IP address, approximate geolocation at country or region level, cookies, and server or error logs.
2.3 Information from third-party services: basic profile information from authentication providers when enabled, sports and odds data from API-Football and The Odds API, and payment confirmation or subscription tier data from third-party payment processors when active. We do not store card numbers or full payment details.
We use your personal data to create and manage your account, process subscription access, send transactional emails including account confirmation and password recovery via Brevo, provide support, operate and improve platform features and analytics, detect and prevent fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and send service-related notifications where appropriate.
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis for processing, Sharproof relies on contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation, and consent, depending on the feature and purpose involved.
5.1 We do not sell your personal data.
5.2 We share data with trusted third-party service providers who process data on our behalf, including Supabase for database and authentication infrastructure, Brevo or Sendinblue for email delivery, Vercel for hosting and deployment, and The Odds API and API-Football for sports data with anonymised requests only.
5.3 We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sharproof, our users, or the public.
5.4 In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5.5 We may share aggregated, anonymised data that does not identify you for research, analytics, or business purposes.
6.1 We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services.
6.2 If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or fraud prevention purposes.
6.3 User-generated content such as posts and messages may be retained in anonymised form after account deletion to preserve the integrity of community discussions.
6.4 Log and security data is retained for up to 12 months for fraud prevention and security investigation purposes.
7.1 Sharproof uses cookies, local storage, service-worker storage, and similar technologies to operate the Platform, maintain your session, remember choices, protect accounts, support region-aware features, and improve reliability.
7.2 Essential cookies and storage are required for authentication, security, consent storage, region hints, app routing, PWA reliability, and other core functionality. Disabling essential storage may prevent the Platform from working correctly.
7.3 Optional analytics or marketing cookies are not required to use the Platform and should only be used where you have accepted them through the cookie banner or another valid consent flow.
7.4 We do not sell cookie data. If we introduce advertising, retargeting, affiliate measurement, or third-party analytics that requires consent or opt-out rights in a supported region, those tools must respect your stored cookie choices and applicable law.
7.5 You can review cookie categories and manage browser-level controls through the Cookie Policy at /cookies.
8.1 We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures including encrypted HTTPS or TLS transport, secure authentication via Supabase with JWT tokens, row-level security on database tables, HMAC webhook verification for payment callbacks, and cryptographically secure token generation for access codes.
8.2 No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100 percent secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8.3 In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, object to, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@sharpproof.com. We will respond within 30 days.
10.1 The Platform is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from persons under 18.
10.2 If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at privacy@sharpproof.com and we will delete that data promptly.
10.3 Our age verification checkbox at registration is the primary technical control for age gating. We reserve the right to implement additional age verification measures.
11.1 Sharproof is available to users in multiple countries. Your personal data may be processed by Sharproof and its service providers in countries other than your own, including the United States, the European Union, and other jurisdictions where our infrastructure or service providers operate.
11.2 Where personal data is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including contractual protections and reliance on providers with recognised security and compliance frameworks.
12.1 Sharproof was previously operated under the name Slipstakes. All personal data collected under the Slipstakes platform has been migrated to Sharproof under the same security and privacy controls.
12.2 This Privacy Policy supersedes and replaces the Slipstakes Privacy Policy in its entirety. Sharproof accepts no liability for privacy practices that occurred prior to the transition where those practices complied with the terms in effect at the time.
12.3 If you were a Slipstakes user and wish to request deletion of all data associated with your prior account, please contact privacy@sharpproof.com with the subject line "Slipstakes Data Deletion Request."
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
14.1 We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
14.2 Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
